Delegations attending ALBA-TCP summit to arrive in the next few hours

Cuba, December 13, 2014. In the hours of the afternoon will start arriving the first official delegations that will attend the 10th Anniversary Summit of the ALBA-TCP to be held in the Palace of the Revolution, Havana, on December 14.

Among the official delegations expected to arrive are those from Venezuela, the Secretary Executive of the ALBA, El Salvador, Antigua and Barbuda, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Bolivia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Grenada and Dominica.
 
This Summit will honor the 10th anniversary of the creation of this mechanism of integration created at the initiative of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro and the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez.
 
ALBA-TCP’s focus of action is the fight against poverty and social exclusion and is based on the creation of mechanisms to promote co-operation among the member countries.
 
Cuba, Venezuela, Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Dominica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are currently the members of this mechanism. It is expected that Saint Kitts and Nevis and Grenada will become official members in this Summit. (Cubaminrex)
